This volunteer programme may interest those with building qualifications or just someone who would like to make a positive impact within the rural communities and helping to improve the quality of life.
There are opportunities to renovate or build new structures and improving local infrastructure.
You could volunteer as a group to fundraise for a particular project to purchase materials and then work alongside local builders to complete the work during your stay.
Construction projects currently focus on the Naserian Children’s Home and Medical Centre.
Goals & Objectives
Improving local infrastructure by renovating existing community buildings or building new structures for specific purposes within the community, such as education or healthcare. MAACOP intends to focus on two rural locations which will benefit many lives of the Maasai Community.
- Renovate existing structures such as the Naserian Children’s Home and Clinic.
- Encourage volunteers to fundraise and work alongside local people to build new structures, such as a maternity ward for the health clinic which is an essential service that is required in rural areas.
- Improve security of community buildings, through the building of fences.
